I asked for health that I might do greater thing,

I was given infirmity that I might do better things.

I asked God for strength that I might achieve,

I was made weak that I might learn to obey.

I asked for riches that I might be happy,

I was given poverty that I might be wise.

I asked for power and the praise for men,

I was given weakness to sense my need of God.

I asked for all the things that I might enjoy life,

I was given life that I might enjoy all things.

I got nothing I asked for but everything I hoped for,

In spite of myself, my prayers were answered.

I am among all men most richly blest,

Yes, God always gives us what’s the best for us

Don't You Care?

Jesus calms the storm (Mark 4 : 35 – 40),

35That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, “Let us go over to the other.” 36Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat. There were also other boats with him. 37A furious squall came up and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. 38Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?” 39He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. 40He said to his disciples, “Why you are still having no faith?”

Sometimes, in our life, when we’re feeling lonely, overwhelmed by our circumstances, we often cry out, “Lord, don’t you care?” But when Jesus calms our storm and speaks our name, we realize that we have much more to learn about His compassion for us and we long to trust Him with all of our worries. God did care for us.

Cast all your anxiety to Him because He cares for you! (1 Peter 5 : 7)

He Will Take Care Of You

God watches over you …

And when life’s burden fall

too heavily, too cruelly,

He will lift you up …

and carry you HOME TO LOVE

He will keep you always

under the shadow of His wings

He is the still, small voice

that whispers to your heart ….

”You are my own,

Stay with me.

I LOVE YOU”.

JESUS CARES for YOU!

Be Grateful

There was once a young man who is rebelling against his parents. When he lost his job and his girlfriend, he complained that God was being unfair. He didn’t think the Lord was being very loving or was giving him the help He promised in the Bible. What he didn’t realize was that Jesus promised a sense of His love and presence only to those who keep His commandments. In John 14 : 21-24, it says ……

21Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him.

22Then Judas (not Judas Iscariot) said, “But, Lord, why do you intend to show yourself to us and not to the world?” 23Jesus replied,” If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.

24He who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.

For King Solomon in 1 Kings 3 : 1-15, he died young even though God promise to give him long life as he asked for because of he “didn’t fully follow the Lord”.

We are children of God by faith in His Son and He promised us that He’ll never leave or forsake me. We can turn to His promises to forgive when we confess our sins. In 1 John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness”. So, …

“TAKE GOD’S PROMISES TO HEART, BUT NEVER TAKE THEM FOR GRANTED”

&

“HOLD ON TO GOD’S PROMISES, BUT DON’T TWIST THEM”
