沙滩上的脚印 Footprints InThe Sand

有一天晚上，我作了一个梦。

在梦中，我和主正在沙滩上同行。

这时天空浮现了我一生所度过的光景，

当每一幕景出现时，我都看到沙滩上有两行脚印，

一行是我的，一行是主的。

当人生的最后一幕出现在我眼前时，

我回顾沙滩上的脚印，

我赫然发现我人生中有许多时刻，

沙滩上竟然只有一行脚印，

而那正是我最低潮、最哀伤的时刻，

我问主说：“主啊，当我决定跟随你的时候，

你不是应许我，你要一路与我同行吗？

可是我发现，在人生最难过的时刻，

沙滩上竟然只有一行脚印。

我不明白，为何在我最需要你的时候，你竟会离我而去？”

主回答我说：“我亲爱的孩子，

在你受试炼的时刻，我从未离开过你，

你所看见的那一行脚印，正是我抱着你走过。”

One night I had a dream.

I was walking along the beach with the Lord,

And across the skies flashed scenes from my life,

In each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand.

One was mine, and one was the Lord’s.

When the last scene of my life appeared before me,

I looked back at the footprints in the sand,

And, to my surprise, I noticed that many times along the

Path of my life there was only one set of footprints.

And I noticed that it was at the lowest

And saddest times in my life.

I asked the Lord about it:

“Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you,

You would walk with me all the way.

But I notice that during the most troublesome times in my

Life there is only one set of footprints.

I don’t understand why you left my side when I needed you most.

The Lord said: “My precious child,

I never left you during your time of trial.

Where you see only one set of footprints, I was carrying you.”
